It is the symbol which corresponds to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade ( in Spanish, known as the General Agreement on trade and tariffs ). It is a Convention that was devised in the framework of the Havana Conference which was held in 1947 and which was signed a year later by 23 countries, with the aim of fixing a set of guidelines of tariff concessions and commercial reach.
